Failing to plan is planning to fail

So learn to plan

  • I used to hate school diaries, making plans and being organised

  • Don’t tell me what to do, I will eventually do it in my own time! The inspiration and energy will naturally come to me!

  • Negatory - it never naturally came to me

  • I’ve learnt the hard way that failing to plan is, in fact, planning to fail. There’s been multiple times I have set targets for my weight and never making a plan. I announce the goal but don’t know what the steps are to achieve it or how I will measure it and keep myself accountable over time

  • Now I see the benefit of having a plan which can be tweaked, tailored, tinkered with so that at least I am directionally going towards the right place, and I can mark myself on my discipline, consistency and effort

  • So with December and 2023 drawing to a close, it is an opportune time to really hone in on my top 5 things I want to achieve in 2024 and work backwards and PLAN on how I will achieve these top 5 goals

  • Then by reverse logic now then ‘Succeeding in planning is planning to succeed!’
