If at first you don’t succeed
Try, try again
There’s multiple things I’ve ‘tried’ to set my mind to - from fitness to academics to career - where I at first have not succeeded
The feeling of disappointment can be overwhelming and does make me want to give up on the goal, throwing my hands in the air, sighing “it’s not worth it”, “the goal was not that important anyway”, “I could be using my time differently”
However, I do come back to this quote, just to motivate myself to persevere
I shouldn’t focus on the success of others and compare myself against that, I should stay in my own lane and grind through my own struggles to get to success
Failure is sometimes a necessary component of success and yes, it does suck - it takes more time and effort, but once you get over the disappointment of failure, it does fuel a desire to overcome
On that note, I also have a few failures I need to face up and overcome
