Setback and relapse?

When the going gets tough

  • A few things I’m struggling with at the moment

  • Missed my first goal of 2024 which was to run a half marathon in under 2 hours…

  • The positive was that I finished, the negative was that it sucked not to be able to cross off a to-do list item

  • Then work got busy and I fell off the rails in routine, discipline and willpower

  • The setbacks are real, the relapse is potentially real too

  • It’s true that you are only as good as the system you’ve set in place

  • I need some flex in my system to allow for high pressure, high volume work situations to be given the attention it requires, but I need to eke out time for the other parts of my life which also deserve attention

  • Need to adjust the course, make minor tweaks to get through this period
